Between 25 May (Ascension) and 4 June (Pentecost), communities and churches around the world are gathering together to pray that their friends, families and neighbours come to know Jesus Christ, and for the Holy Spirit to come. And the good news is that we all have the opportunity to join in with this.

1.  We’ll be running ‘Novena’ for the second year running – nine days of prayer between Ascension and Pentecost, meeting together at St Paul’s at 6.45 pm for half-an-hour each evening. We have a small stock of the 2017 Novena Pocket Prayer booklets that many people found particularly helpful last year. They cost £1 each and are available from the office and will be used as the focus for the daily prayer meetings.

2. You can sign up and ‘Pledge2Pray’ as individuals, families or groups and put your mark on a global map. There are lots of creative ideas on the website so check it out for more information and resources, or talk to Susie Waterman if you’d like to know more.

3. The wave of prayer will culminate at the Beacon Event at Winchester Cathedral on Sunday 4 June – Susie has 8 tickets but check the website for more details or to register for your own (they are free). https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/thy-kingdom-come-beacon-event-winchester-tickets-33109353969
