St Leonard’s Church
Church Lane, Bursledon, Southampton SO31 8AD
Directions to St Leonard’s Church
  • Depart the motorway at Jnc 8 on the M27 and begin your journey of faith by taking the A3024 at the motorway roundabout, following the signs for Southampton East and Hamble. Consider this your first small step toward spiritual enlightenment… or at least toward the right postcode.

  • At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A27 toward Sarisbury and Park Gate. This is the moment the choir hits its first confident “AHHHH!

  • After 1 mile, prepare for a test of observation: take the 4th turning on the right into Church Lane. It’s just before the railway bridge and the river bridge—because nothing says “holy journey” like two bridges and a bit of guesswork.

  • Follow the road around as it gently guides you like a kindly vicar after a long sermon. St Leonard’s Church will appear at the 2nd turning on the left, standing proudly and probably wondering what took you so long.

  • If you’re arriving by train, rejoice! Bursledon Railway Station is only a 5‑minute walk away, with hourly services to Southampton and Portsmouth/Fareham. Plenty of time to hum a hymn on your way.
